I’m Steph. Early in my career, I pushed the envelope on people policies by breaking through rigid rules to create a culture where my team could use their own judgement to solve problems for customers. The result was higher customer satisfaction ratings, increased profit, and decreased turnover. I knew at that point that you have to establish your people operations on purpose in order to achieve your business goals.

Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to creating the best people operations for startups of all kinds. People are the greatest asset a startup can have. They can also be the greatest risk in overhead costs and legal liabilities; 65% of all new ventures fail because of people issues. You can’t scale your team effectively on accident and mismanaging the process could cost you your business. I take this stressor off the founder and ensure that the startup is ready for its next funding round with the right people processes. 

I know how to scale people operations effectively and efficiently. Most recently, I’ve successfully led the growth of one startup from 230 employees to more than 500 in 17 months. I know what works and what landmines to avoid.
